Another Veiw.A Story by Somebody'sSoulStevie Collins is a 7th grade..Loner as some will say. She is certain she has already found her 'soul mate', 8th grader Arthur Maxwell. Continued in the Note for Reviewers.
I approach him my mind isn't clear at all but I manage a hello.
"Who are you?" He asks, I truly thought this would be easier. "I'm Stevie, I ride your bus..Well I..Uh I'm doing a survey for you know..Er'..-"My mind won't focus this all feels as if a mistake. "School?" He asks. I'm reddening and my heart is pounding so hard in my chest I'm afraid he can hear. "Yeah that, I was wondering if you would take it for me? I mean its just we have to you know ask people. And-" I can barley speak. "I'll take it I guess, Where is it?" I should have planned ahead this was all an excuse to talk to him. Damn, I am so not bright. "Well we haven't received it yet but I was you know asking before." I hear a kid snicker behind me. Before I notice my feet start moving and I'm down the hall. "Stevie, Hey! Stevie." I hear, I can feel my body going numb. Is it him? I'm doubtful. It's my friend Austin, Just who I need. "What is it?" I stop mid-step so he can run towards me. "Are you going to sign up for the talent show? I mean I think you'd be great." He says brushing his red bangs out of his face. "Yeah like I have talent." I say heading for my locker which is easy to find because some d****e took a sharpie to the locker number at the top. "I've heard you sing. You could be the next American Idol, you know if you were fifteen." He says leaning against the lockers next to my own. I'm flattered. Wait, When has he heard me sing? I only ever sing in the shower. I must've said it out loud, because he's quick to say that when him and his parents came over for dinner he was in the game room after and heard me. I feel my face reddening again.
