This Dream I HadA Poem by Some JohnThis Dream I Had
I woke up early In my truck I drove all day Set up my house On a frozen cove in a little bay It was getting late No fish would bite On a falling star I made a wish that night Just then straight across There standing in the snow Was a fallen angel Twinkling eyes search for her lost Halo Looking cold with her hands Upon shoulders shivering Wanting to meet her Butterflies tingle nerves quivering Maybe I can warm her With a little of my smooth talking I need to get there fast To hell with walking Fumble with my keys And started my truck Wheels start slipping Oh great now I'm stuck Wouldn't you know that's
Just my luck The drifts just to high From newly fallen snow Now I can only wonder Just were did my snow angel go?
