Haven't Said Enough

Haven't Said Enough

A Poem by Somber Eyes

I don't know if there's anything I haven't said before
I think that I've said everything, maybe even more
But still, it seems there must be something I should say to you
Because you haven't stopped doing the awful things you do

I may not see you doing them, but I can see the signs
You can cover up, but I can still see all the lines
All those subtle nuances are well within my sight
I don't need a polygraph to know that I am right

What can I say to you that will make you heed my call?
What can I say to you to prevent your final fall?
How can I protect you when your eyes refuse to see?
I'm only here to help you, I am not the enemy

Open up your mind to the wisdom that I share
Open up your mind and accept that I do care
Understand that I have been there, I have felt the pain
And I know how to fight it, how to finally break the chain
