Mystery Woman

Mystery Woman

A Poem by Somber Eyes

We've never met, yet I see your face when my eyes are closed
I feel your presence in my space, it tells me all I need to know
I feel your kiss, I feel your touch when sleep takes me to my dreams
Those are what I miss so much when reality takes hold of me

I've searched for you for many years, how much longer must I go
My heart aches to feel the love that only in my dreams I know
What must I do to find the path which will lead me to your door
So far, dead-ends are all I've found, piercing my heart to the core

If dreams are the only way that I will ever see your face
Then lay me down tonight and do not ever let me wake
For only when you're with me do I ever feel at peace
And only when I'm holding you do the pain and heartache cease
