Melodic Dreams

I dream of looking in your eyes

I dream of drying all your cries

In my dreams I'm holding you so tight

In my dreams you hold me close

And tell me that you won't let go

You stay with me until the morning light

But when the morning breaks

My dream evaporates

Every morning brings the dawn

And when I wake, you're always gone

I wish that I could hold your hand

But I don't think you'd understand

Don't know how to let my feelings show

Don't think I can find my voice

Convinced that I don't have a choice

I can't tell you what you need to know

When the moon is overhead

And I lay alone in bed

I whisper your name to the night
