Everything Reminds Me Of You

Everything Reminds Me Of You

A Poem by Somber Eyes

Please do not wait up for me

I will not be there, you will see

I will be long dead by then

With a bullet in my head

I wish I could be with you forever

Wish we could spend our whole lives together

But whenever you open your eyes

All I ever see are cries

I don't know what I can do

To make everything right with you

When you don't want me in your life

And say you will not be my wife

Eighteen months no love was shared

You took my love but gave me air

Too late did I realize

You were no longer by my side

When I die amidst the flames

Burn my body, release my pain

Spread my ashes out to sea

Where my soul can finally be free

Here my heart is kept in chains

Thinking of you, depression reigns

There's no way I can pull through

When everything reminds me of you
