The Razor's Call

The Razor's Call

A Poem by Somber Eyes

The razor's calling out to me

The sweetest serenade

Drawing patterns on my skin

This sacrificial blade

It takes away the pain

And gives me strength for one more day

It sucks away the sorrow

Now there's nothing more to say

The sun shines through the moon-lit sky

The light now fades away

The demons awake deep in my soul

Now it's time to pay

Every night it's all the same

The carnage of this endless game

I know of only one way to be free

The razor's calling out to me
