All Alone

All Alone

A Poem by Somber Eyes

The starving artist in his studio suite

The famous rock star in his penthouse suite

The American president in the White House sleeps

And I am all alone

The popular crowd and all of their cliques

The sporty jocks and all of their chicks

The nerds in the corner studying politics

And I am all alone

The gossips who always have something to say

The outcasts sitting far at bay

Everyone in class today

And I am all alone

The perfect cheerleaders walk right past

The "in" crowd point their fingers and laugh

But another lost soul comes over and asks

"Why are you all alone?"
