Farewell

Farewell

A Poem by Somber Eyes

My head keeps spinning round and round

The ties that bind have been unbound

Please tell me now, what can I do

You don't love me, I still love you

Here I sit in morning light

With swollen eyes of tearful night

Tormented by the saddest song

Still don't know where all went wrong

In my mind a cloud now swirls

Behind my eyes the truth unfurls

Reveals to me your every lie

That when we met, you said goodbye

Now like the day, I bid farewell

And slowly ring my keeper's bell

I leave this earth with my regrets

And fade away as the sun sets
