I'll Quietly Love You

I'll Quietly Love You

A Poem by Soma-ko
"

Poem.

"

Here,

take this bruised dollar.

I’ll sweep the shattered

picture frame under the

picture of you two, like

the last time, the picture

of that time you smiled

here

take this trampled coin.

It’s still hard, despite all

the footprints, despite

all the falls, all the times

it was dropped. I’ll find

space for these shards

here.

Take this torn euro.

It still has more value

than the dollar, even

though part of it has

been ripped off. Look,

how beautiful it still is.

Here.
