Layers of PaintA Poem by Soma-koIt's been awhile, stream of consciousness.Teardrops fall as the paint dries. The look in her eyes show nothing. Cracks and creases are on the walls. Disappointment soaks into her soul. The newly painted wall witnesses nothing. The past is coated over with a peach stroke. Her heart is covered in a soft blue paint, That hasn't dried yet, and continues to drip. Looking up she sees a blank ceiling. On it, she paints a bright sky. Smiling, she lays back and stares at the clouds. In a windowless room she resides. In a door less world she lives. No doors open, None closes. She knows not of you nor I. She knows not of love or hate. She lives not for fame or wealth. She lives to experience life, For life is stupidly precious. A brush in her hand, Savor the tears that linger on the floor. She creates an abyss below her. Staring down, she laughs. She isn't falling, and has no fear in it. She smiles softy, and touches the floor. © 2014 Soma-koReviews
