The Goddess Of The TomesA Poem by Soma-koA beauty to words. The sun and the moon never seem to get along, One much bigger, so much more strong. The other, so small, can only tag along, I wonder where she’ll be after this short little song. A building so bright, when under the moon’s light, Seems to only compliment her radiance, and her smile’s
delight. As she walks down the block with a book in one hand, The sun chases her down, but she is only man. A knife can be found, in any little compartment, Especially here, in this tiny apartment. Where she visits so often, with a book in one hand, To her little safe haven, with no other man. Short raven hair, that matches her eyes, Glasses so old, even she can see her demise. I wonder where you’ll be, after this short little piece, Perhaps somewhere near, where she’ll rest in peace. © 2013 Soma-koAuthor's Note
