The Captain Of VashonA Poem by Soma-koVashon Island, Seattle. (The title may be altered.)The trinity sees all, and all of the seas, But there is only one, that I wish to tease. He saunters in the sunlight, head high so proud, Voice that bellows with power, to others so loud. His wife’s name is Clara,
who has been by his side. Old and worn out, but so defiant, she won’t hide. She swims with him every morning, while the horizon is
still bleak, Searching for a treasure, is what they both seek. He has many sons, but then again, none at all. Teaching them the ropes, hoping they will never fall. The one I want is renowned, yet has not a dime to his
name. Someone so power and dynamic, but then again, is insane. His sons will find his body, much before you do, A fate so definite, sealed by this clue. His wife shall hide his body, his body away from you A soulless woman is she, for she is nothing but a tool. © 2013 Soma-koAuthor's Note
