She and IA Poem by Soma-koYou can only shine, when others don't. One lives not, when all is dead. Yet one dies, when all lives.Full of life and
ardor was she, A complete
antithesis of what I would be. The darkness and
light contrast so much, But one cannot
live without the other, what a strange bunch. The brighter the
light, the larger the shadow. A loyal companion
that seems supernatural. Where one goes,
the other will follow, A blessed curse
that seemed so hollow. It’s been while,
but I called out her name, She turned around,
and did the same. I stood there
watching her, for she was my light, So bright and
pure, she was all my might. Standing beside
her, we walked hand in hand. She was my light,
so bright and pure. I held her pain
and sorrow, under my veil. Walking briskly
she lived her life, confident that her shadow was by her side. Even in the
darkness she was full of bliss, Knowing I was
there, sneaking a kiss. Shrouded by me,
she slept soundly in the dark. Knowing it was I who
enveloped her, hugging her tightly in the dusk. For she was my
light, And I her shadow. What a strange
bunch, A blessed curse
that seemed so hollow. © 2013 Soma-koReviews
