~Scarred~

~Scarred~

A Poem by Solitaire-P0ette

She told him No

“But I thought we were friends”

that’s what he always told her

friends

Friends Hug?

Of course.

Kiss?

Maybe.

But a friend aint suppose to touch you like that.

So the 8 year old laid still

Afraid to move

Didn’t want him to be upset

She closed her eyes and went to her happy place.

And when she opened her eyes…10 years later…she still sees his face.

She wouldn’t tell,

Wouldn’t yell

Wouldn’t fight

All she could do is close her eyes and hold her breath

So emotional your feelings are expressed well

if I could cry I would~ but I left those tears decades ago on the same kind of bed the child above in your poem was subjected to~ incredibly intimate portayal of those who have no voice~ you are in this poem the voice for them~
