Lavender SkiesA Poem by Solilokiss
We marvelled at the ultraverse
Her baroquish lavender skies And walked the ancient streets of Mars When Ares used to fly We sat to see the crack at dawn From an egg to a dinosaur We lay that thick mayanic brick And danced Atlantis' shores We smiled upon the goofy ape Who learned to play such human games Spoke in light with the Anu-Nai And waved to see them sail Saw the sun kiss the frosty cape Watched it melt down the coldest age And of all the things I've done with you I would do it all again We lamented with the angels When they placed love on the cross We hid the magic book of Thoth To save the race before it lost We tasted the oldest rain drop And giggled with all that was said The first man on the moon, we knew We were the first to wed We shook the hand of Godly One For the majesty of his art We were his sweetness, you and I The warming of his heart We walked the arid desert plains Sprinkling Arabian sands In awe of the Tuscan sunset We smiled while hand in hand And when the tall tree of Life fell And found you on your fallen knees I sat beside you, squeezed you tight And cried oh Heavens please! Then the fiery gates between us Heaven to hell brought woeful sorrow You cried, my love, please wait for me I called, see you in the morrow! My Helios, how I love you Cried Luna to the blinding Sun My love, see you in the 'morrow When two again are one Burnt to the core but not broken Please baby, please now, dry your eyes Life's a dream and when awoken We'll hail the lavender skies © 2014 SolilokissAuthor's Note
