Luna Centauri (Wings of Love)A Poem by SolilokissA love story a mesh in fantasy
There beneath the willows of my softest delight
Lays a quaintly hamlet under my sight In that small township Centauri was born And this is the story of Centauri, the faun When Centauri was but a wee colt and a half He would hop, skip and trot to make me laugh At night laze under the soft, willow trees He would wait, till it was late, he would wait for me 'Luna, teach me to fly for I can nae reach ya' 'High in the sky my delightful teacher' 'Luna, oh why, why can I nae meet ya?' 'Moon, teach me to fly or I die, I beseech ya' I tried so hard to send him love, did all I could Kept my eye from above on his sweet hood Whispers he longed for and dried him his tears And yet he'd cry every night and did so for years As he grew older he'd trot lands and swim wild seas He planned to cup hands and his soul place at ease His gait led him far, nymphs, they followed, too And yet he'd neigh many naes, 'Luna, only for you' 'Oh Luna, teach me to fly for I have not wings' 'Teach me to sigh the way those love birds sing' 'Never say bye, Luna, your love I cling' 'Oh Luna, to you I give my all, everything' He cried and I cried, oh I loved Centauri so It's hard to get by when heartache overflows My heart could not bare to see him alone Now three nights per month the moon escapes from home On the darkest of nights when the moon can't be found Trust that Luna is so heavenly bound She takes on the flesh of a womanly form You'll find her in the arms of Centauri, her faun There beneath the willows of my softest delight Lays a quaintly hamlet in the dimmest of night And there in the stables, true love is born Oh, this is the story of Centauri, my faun Who flies on the wings of love © 2014 SolilokissReviews
