His MoonlightA Poem by Solilokiss
A silent, warm night, it was
The night in which he came Slithered so swiftly through my window As though a breeze upon an agile pane He saw me soothed in slumber Surrounded by the flaws of flesh I did not even feel his knife slip under Nor the peeling of my earthly dress He played my ribs like a piano So much that they danced for him And parted like the Red Sea to a soprano The herald for what lay within A gentle hand took hold of my heart Feeling the strength of its throbbing drum I dreamt I was caught in a running elephant storm! I dreamt I was being blinded by a blazing sun! He kissed it and peeled me of petals My soul came alive and I was made free! That night in which he came... And gave my spirit... back to me I awoke the next morning from disturbing dreams Feeling somewhat renewed and revitalised Yet when I stood in front of the mirror There was a cross on my heart and I opened my eyes Forever I Am, His Moonlight. © 2013 SolilokissReviews
