A Brother's Love

I guess this speaks of the bonds of forgiveness and understanding between brothers like Cain and Abel. They are one and the same.

You are my kaleidoscope connection
Everything I see is of you and I
Each picture blends to your reflection
All visions change within the sight
As day moves into night time
And tiny flowers shrink to buds
I am loving you for hours, brother
And waiting for your morning sun

From the mountain peak to the valley low
My rivers seep of an iconic glow
You've taken me where not many may roam
From the highest high to the depths below
And I am not afraid to swim
In the deepest ocean with you, my kin
We'll find the pearl that's lost within
The whale who wags the tale of sin

As long as you are beside me, Cain
I am able, and capable to remain
Anything of you I will sustain
Alpha to omega, zenith to plain
As sails above, so collides below
One hand friendly, the other foe
Where you go next will be my home
Heaven is hell without you, bro.

you've a style here that seemed formal until the last word. But I didn't take this as a brother's love for a brother... the imagery was more female...hence a sisters love for her brother. The tones flowed well.

Thank you Donald, I am glad it does. This one intrigues me a bit, being that I am female who likely has no knowledge nor sense to write as though I'm a 'brother'. Initially it came with my love in mind. He is everything I see, like a kaleidoscope. Then it turned to the topic of perception for me, how perceptions are based on dark and light experiences. It then spoke of unconditional love devoid of perception, just love. How one would travel the worst of man to explore with its spiritual kin. And then the name Cain came, and I thought 'oh okay, that's odd, but let's roll with it and see where it goes.' Now I'm not biblically education but I know that one brother killed the other, and I likened that to how experiences can be soul destroying. One never gets to Heaven until issues are resolved. I don't particularly like the last line, it's use of the slang word 'bro' but I kept it figuring that's the kind of relaxed relationship held between the two. I don't know. Peculiar, this one, but I'm glad it speaks to us. I would also have had three brothers if one would not have died at child birth. His birthday would have been yesterday so perhaps he spoke to me subconsciously. All the best.

Loving someone who might be the opposite of your attitude just like Abel and Cain, will probably be the hardest part. But in here, it is shown how a brother was loved by his sibling. Such unconditional love! So touching.
