I'm Used To It

I'm Used To It

A Poem by Solilokiss
"

I imagine this being sung in a fifties movie by someone like Judy Garland.

"

Some time ago
Chasing rainbows
Where ever the wind blows
That's where you would find me
Tracing shadows
On rain filled windows
Afloat in a solo
Upon an endless stream singing

I'm used to it
A song that flows unsung
I'm used to it
A beat without a drum
I'm used to it
A moon without a sun
That yearns to shine

Once upon a time
I used to soar
Now there's no one on the line
And I just feel sore
No voice to say it's okay
No hug to mend my ways
No love to soothe my days
Just a whisper on a wing that sings

I'm used to it
Building castles in my skies
I'm used to it
Singing babe less lullabies
Watching the world pass by
In the twinkling of an eye
You will never see my cry
When all I yearn to do is shine but I'm
Used to it

What a lovely beginning of the poem, rain mixed with sun, in a spectrum of colors, and also a musical touch to it... the middle part, shows, it was for short, you felt euphoric, and there is a silence....

And then your last stanza, the come out, of the first two, you write excellent poetry. It has so much musicality to it, sadness, true heartfelt emotions, I did enjoyed this one, thank you for sharing.
