When you have long forgotten me

And I am but a fraction in your distant memory

Like a shooting star across the night

You blazed

You flamed

As I gazed at you in awe

Mesmerised

Hypnotised

I stood in witness and wonder

As a comet I still orbit you

I still spin for you

Dazzled in array

In the ashes of your

This is beautiful.

I find it very sad though. There is an almost absolute hopelessness to it, expressed by the narrator, in regards to a love that once burned bright. It leaves an afterimage that just won't fade.
