American History XA Poem by John Dennis Gillespie
We scrummaged out west for gold.
Stories left untold; We are American History X with a future dark and bold. Flags waved too high; Devils in the heart, patriots in mind Believing what we hear, but living far too blind. This republic weakly stands, A nation built on broken lands. Led by who speak of flourishing with blood upon their hands. We have revolutionalized monopoly. Communized Democracy. Globalized terrorism and forgot our own hypocrisy. © 2013 John Dennis GillespieAuthor's Note
