I always look from within

I always look from within

A Poem by Solera
"

About identity and finding one who sees more than just himself

"

I always look

From within.

I see not what but whom

I always look to find one man

Whose movement lives and breathes

A man whose chin is not held high

But heart domines his head.

I always look

From within

To see where I meet he

To see where he and I will pass

And tread on common thought.

His eyes are bright and strong with thought

His face shows naught but love

He wears his heart upon his face

For he is blunt and vain

His tact is meant to soften ones

Whose heart weigh less than he

I always look

From within

To see who sees himself

He lives by him and not of them

Not governed by the mass

To see whose mind is free and just

To see who lives for he

He lives not of this earthy plane

But boundless of himself

A world that lives inside of he

A plane beneath his mind

The world of words

Of brush and pen

Of art and soul and passion whence

He breathes the breathe of one who is

Without a cage of earth and sky

The man who soars beyond his life

And on to others’ minds

He lives inside of those he sees

To see what they believe

His heart is light lest judgment say

Their heart weigh less than he

I always look

From within

Out on the plane of man

To see who looks back in at me

And I look in at him

I really love this, it's so... I have to agree with Aoelgaire and Vironykah, I can't find words... It's great, but that word is not even close to describe it!
Very well written, nice flow, great job!

I love the flow of this. I spent two years as a poetry critique and yet I can't find words for this. You have talent, and lots of it.
