Reckoning Shall EndeavourA Poem by T.A.RogersReckoning Shall EndeavourThe authority of corrupted power Bringing naught unto us. Making life’s sweet rewards taste sour. Severing a chain of trust. Bitter are the seeds That are planted in hard earth. Bitter are the deeds That undermine our self worth. Hellfire and brimstone Contained within a look. Hatred is a love song That has fallen into a nook. Bringing naught unto us, This corrupted authoritative power. Swaying a linear trust. Growing more self-righteous by the hour. Your sins thus shine forever, Thou authoritative power. Reckoning shall endeavor, Alas, in your final hours. ©T.A.Rogers 20041108
