The Drive-by on ThanksgivingA Poem by Jerusalem CricketBased on a true story.
Sneaking giant doobies
under nights crude cover in the early freeze a cul de sac in Baby Vietnam used to watch em get their Tokyo drift on then be runnin from the cops and we hid in the bushes & hopped the fences like we was on some super spy s**t it was pretty damn ridiculous city building block by city building block something to see to believe somethings I wish I didn't have to see & don't want to believe souls sealed in cruel cold concrete the downside. ballistic cannons resounded in one of the nastiest districts in a pretty nasty town we jumped up then ducked down & the pigs must've been poking their snouts around cause soon was that familiar sound & that's when we said s**t wasn't safe to be out so we bounce to the surface streets & skirted quick so we weren't seen and no one dared to try to speak cause no one heard that sequel sound and the unusual shock incorporated with the usual chronic and the evening had become a solid oak holiday dinner table heavy with the weight of was brought & what we were expected to enjoy eating. © 2014 Jerusalem CricketAuthor's Note
