Alchemist's Unicorn, or Disgruntled Youth Overture

Alchemist's Unicorn, or Disgruntled Youth Overture

A Poem by Jerusalem Cricket
"

They say those Double-Stuf Oreos got crack cocaine in 'em. I'd believe it. *Currently under reconstruction*

"
earlyish in the mourning
the moon begins to the rise
dirtiest consorting
in the room between the thighs
forbidden fruit that ruins lives
so the troupe flew the coupe
and found suit
elsewhere

thought it was provoking

caught em smoking loosies
tagging up the bathrooms &
creeping s****y movies for free
mercy me, perturbing flea circus
out of the alleyways
like the pearly gates adjacent
and facing the gallow stage

these are unhallowed days

furious grady stiles walked the
daily eighty miles to the liquor store for
the quick pick or maybe just
curious eye sore of bored out tricks
on the nearest corner &
the queerest gory porno flicks for
a nickel a dime a quarter

- mind the camera -

hammer sickle sanskrit star stripe
flock stickered on the flickering light
mock bicker & quiet on the farm tonight
sicker sheep sleep in the street
Darwinian leap to thicker fleece & meaner teeth
drinking on cheap forties sneak up to sweet glory

I dipped out
I didn't bow down
and I wouldn't of even if I could've
had I stuck around
real talk, all truths
I was never the type to fall thru

But like all classy b*****s,
I could fall hard
for a man in a suit
& a fancy a*s
fine italian noose.

Author's Note

Jerusalem Cricket
I feel this needs to be smoothed out.

This is actually a more personal piece than my usual multifaceted conscious nonsense.

Yeah, it read that way.

It's really good.

Maybe this sounds sexist or something, but it's hard to picture a lady writing this. It's pretty grizzled.

It's great. Keep writing.
