A Poem by Sol_Corvo

I promise to be brief
Although my word is worthless
He's been given up to grief
And now his life is loneliness

He fell in love too fast
But damn, if she isn't perfect
And he's just repeating the past
But she has such a profound effect
On the boy who never asked
Would you object?
If your schedule was checked?

Just you and me
We could see
The world if need be?

But he never said a word
And things got confusing
And so with his speech slurred
Because of the bottle he was using
His vision blurred
He sought to drown the pain by boozing

Sometimes he even hears her voice
And he realized he had a choice
Pick himself up and forget her
For this is a storm he has to weather

She made her final pick
And that choice made me sick
