Rubbish Pile

Rubbish Pile

A Poem by Soil Creep
"

Purple Talking Tree

"
Layers of noise are shedding from the considerate octopus cooking up pot stickers in the furnace at the bottom of the sea.
Gusts of wind flood into the room stoking the fire bringing the food to a boil and the considerate octopus stretches her arms around the pot.
She brines tacky nostalgia ensuring that the flimsy caterpillar develops shiny slimy suckers.
The flimsy caterpillar stirs from its cave as sunlight pierces the ocean floor.
Refuse splashes above as the land creatures toss expletives at each other revolving like potty trained squirrels.
It would only take the swiveling head of a calm hamster to stop the nonsense.
But that's too easy.
