The Way You Love

The Way You Love

A Poem by Saskia Liddick
"

Some friends have been getting in relationships lately, and it made me a little jealous... this is the poem I wrote because of it.

"

The Way You Love

By Saskia Liddick

The way you dared to confess you loved her,

it was how you were afraid to be hurt by her,

it made me feel so sick,

because I've never felt that way.

It was the way you stroked his cheek,

with the tenderness of being his lover,

that made me wish so much,

to be in your shoes.

How she whispered sweetly in your ear,

and the way you smiled when you heard,

made me want to cry.

Because I was scared I'd never love like that.

Saskia Liddick
It was just really quickly scribbled down, and I thought it made sense, and if it makes sense to me, then I'm sure it can make sense to you.
