The Lost Generation

The Lost Generation

A Poem by Saskia Liddick
"

I was thinking about it, this is a poem mourning the loss of a Generation that everyone hopes will come along, but just may never.

"

The Lost Generation

By Saskia Liddick

The Silent Generation was quiet, but was remembered.

The Stoned Generation was stoned, but everyone knows it.

The Media Generation is loud, lively, and people recognize it.

But where is the Lost Generation?

Where is the Generation that will respect everyone?

Where is the Generation that will fight for their rights?

Where is the Generation that will believe in themselves?

Where is the Lost Generation?

Who is part of the Generation that will fight back?

Who is part of the Generation that will resist Death?

Who is part of the Generation that will run from rape?

Where is the Lost Generation?

Was that Generation eaten by fate and kept subdued?

Was that Generation held back to shine through soon?

Was that Generation ever really truly meant to be?

Where is the Lost Generation?

Will we ever find the Generation of truth and reason?

Will we ever find the Generation of sanity and realism?

Will we ever find the Generation that will set us free?

Where is the Lost Generation?

*clap clap* Great!
It's sad, in a truthful way, but still sad. It shows just how civilization is dwindling in value, because of so many people giving up on themselves, believing they couldn't do better than they already are, believing that they can't do anything about the world in the condition it's in now.
It's too true.
Really great, dude. No grammar mistakes in this one, too. I'm proud! ;)
