Remember The Days

Remember The Days

A Poem by Saskia Liddick
"

A man remembers his lover from what feels like years ago.

Remember the Days
By SohoNights

Remember the days we talked on the street?
The way the sun touched your skin tenderly?
How the ground evened out for your steps?
The way our hands could never part away?
Remember those days? When we were happy?

Remember the days we had no fear?
The way we could face the entire world?
How we were fearless and we were brave?
The way we were so secure in each other’s arms?
Remember those days? When no one mattered?

Remember those days when were loved?
The way our affections were endless?
How all of the love in the world was ours?
The way our unity was stronger than rope?
Remember those days? When we were in love?

Remember the days we walked on the beach?
The way the breeze stroked your hair on the day?
How the water reached out to touch your toes?
The way our eyes were enthralled by each other?
Remember those days? When you were alive?

Saskia Liddick
This is from when I was going through an upset phase, and several more poems will come out of that phase. R&R would be lovely.
