Fear of the dead?

Fear of the dead?

A Poem by Softclouds
"

Reflected on afterlife and the fear of the dead.

And old man in the flat next to me died a week ago.
Tonight I was in the basement corridor,
and it felt like I saw him in the corner of my view
Everywhere I went
A dark, shadowy and scared apparition
Just staring at me
And listening to my every footstep
My every breath
I too was scared
But what for?
What taught us to be so damn scared of the dead?
Something did. And I wouldn't want to know what.
