Memories of my cellsA Poem by Sofiko Emiry"Memories of us"
You know my cells have memory
They remember when you sound sincere or phoney You know my cells make cacophonies When you are not around ; And love goes Thousands of miles Scampering alone Or among red lights Arisen on its ways. You know my cells have memory They know stories of your glory And agony They cherish all your straight-forwards All allegories Truths and lies and bribes. You know my cells have memory They detect quickly anonyms Of your every attempt To kiss me at night When in lethargy You think I will not know Who kisses me. You know my cells have memory Atony of feeling is a bad attorney And antonyms of us seek to take apart Whole we or our or us. But... Memories of my cells Keep together drifters and travelers Lovers, man and woman in a cosy house. You know my cells have memory... © 2014 Sofiko Emiry |
