Trees

Trees

A Poem by Sofiko Emiry
"

"Greener than ever"

"
One day I have seen
Chopping of the trees.
It hurt me so
It hurt me deep.
Fallen leaves
Ignored on the ground
Pathetic switch
But it felt...Brown
Sticks making defences
Of their dreams
Of their lantherns
Of holy spirits
Inside of them
Scintillating around...Then
That day I have seen
Chopping of the limbs,
Legs
Hips
Waists
Human knees
Pathetic switch
But It felt..White
So cruel at glance
So nice in essence
Red
Color we perceive
Associate with ache
It can be green
Or white
Or brown
Or even
Unseen
Spleen of the planet
Digesting seals
Of our cruelty
Of chopping trees.
