Perfectly normalA Poem by Nurhanne Hassan
I want you to know
That I'm not a perfect person I'm a perfectly normal person Who opposes to be blamed when she's the victim Who stands up for those I don't know if they're wronged Who doesn't think anybody is above correction Even those who are perceived above the law Who gets mad when parents don't apologize Because they think just because they perceived you They have the right to perceive your own choices Without giving you second thought Who wants teachers to be engaging Instead of sitting at their desks and barking out orders So they can get a paycheck they don't deserve As a result of raising a new slave generation Who makes fun of everyone in the rudest of ways Yet still arranges sit-ins to demand Their right for doing whatever the hell That I make fun of Who wants to know every intimate curve of the language That I'm speaking in Who loses interest in the hottest guy If he has vacuum within Who's not a perfect person Yet a perfectly normal person Who doesn't want to be another housefly Stuck on the cobweb of your traditions I'm a human being I write my own conditions. © 2014 Nurhanne HassanReviews
