Midnight DelightA Poem by Ra3helPraiseA young girl sits apon a hill looking at the wasted beauty the world deems dull....Lonely I sit upon this hill far from eyes that travel too far, I sit upon this hill to see this beauty of a sky full of stars, This hill of long flowing grass dappled with orange maple oaks, Down in the city I see cars and buildings as far as the eye can see, Rushing about life, deeming sight seeing a dull and fruitless tact, But not I, for upon this hill I notice life is quite repetitive for those folks, Not I, because I sit alone upon a hill with long flowing grass Wet from the dew descending from heaven, I see a moon high up In the midnight sky descending ever so slowly around the world, Unnoticeable to the frivolities of 'life', this wasted beauty deemed dull By the sea of humans lacking much chivalry, I sit alone Hoping to one day see this beauty not wasted, For what is a world without beauty? Wasted. © 2011 Ra3helPraiseAuthor's Note
