A Chapter by Soccerstar55

The Teladen sea, sparkled so beautifuly. The Fresh diamonds popped right up from the bottom of the sea. Diamonds, pop up on the most sunniest days in lakes, rivers, streams etc. The Bright blue sky was covered with marshmallow soft clouds. The Donrids are half bird half dog. The were flyig higher than usual.
It seemed strange, why they would fly so high. Are they scared of something? Do they want to test their abilites? What could it be.
It didnt matter now.I was in my peach t-shirt and sparkly jeans. I wasin the grassy Pragranto feilds. The hot yellow sun, was baking me and the feilds. My Donrid, Charlie, came up to me. He was panting. He looked very tired from all of the flying. I'd take him out every afternoon for flying with the other local Donrids.
I rubbed his spotty belly.(He was a Dalmation.) He gave me a wide grin I loved him for so long.Wefound him with a broken wing and we nursed him back to health. That was six years ago. Charlie's warming smile made me feel a little bit better. But that wasn't enough. I knew something wasn't right. Something was going to happen. And I feel that something, is coming soon.

I ran back to Grandmother's house, while Charlie flew back. The door was opened, which set me into panic mode. I repeatedly called for my Grandmother. I didn't get an answer and thought for the worst. Charlie was barking from the top of the stairs. That put me into high alert mode.

I ran up the long wooden stairs and ran past Charlie's room. Grandmother's room was closed. I shook the doorknob, it was locked.  That wasn't a good sign. I jiggled the lock a few more times, but it wouldn't budge. I tried calling for her from outside the door, but I heard no answer.

I called Charlie to go get me my screwdriver. Charlie is the smartest donrid ever known. Within a few minutes, Charlie returned with the right size screwdriver. I tried picking the lock. At first, nothing happened but i jiggled it a little harder and heard a click. Without hesitating, I opened the door.

I looked around the grandma's room. She had a lot of antiques. She wanted to keep one important thing for each year of her life. Imagine having seventy things in one room. Most of the things in her room, besides the antiques were vintage. She always says that there's nothing wrong with anything vintage.

Charlie and I began looking around. Grandma wasn't in her bed. In fact, she wasn't in her at all. Her bed looked like it was every morning when she got out of it, neat and straight. A cold chill ran down my back. Me and my grandmother had the same feeling when something bad has happened or when something bad or good happened to one of us. It was like the most strangest connection ever.

The feeling was getting stronger. I wasn't sure if something bad had happened or something happened to grandma. I didn't want to even think about that. The very thought was scary enough.

The strong, stormy winds were picking up again outside. I closed the windows shut. Charlie was by my feet watching me carefully. I didn't really understand him sometimes. He was always like this. Just calm when something good was going to happen and barking when something bad happened.

I heard something downstairs. I rushed down the stairs stood there, frozen. I tried to focus on where the noise was coming from. I heard it again. It sounded like something was moving. I started walking slowly. I reached into my back pocket and pulled out my silver dagger. In the corner of my eye, I saw Charlie sneaking down the stairs too, That donrid was the best sneak I've ever known.

The closer I got towards the noise, the softer it became. It became so soft that I could barely hear anything. I gripped the dagger in my hand. If it was an intruder, kick and punch has hard as I can. If it gets too violent, use the dagger.

The sound was getting more clearer of where it was coming from. It was coming from the kitchen. I stepped through the kitchen door, and almost hit the wrong person. Standing there, with grocires in hand, was my grandmother looking at me in fear.
