Driving so fast

Trying to escape the past.

 

Spiraling down

Trying to evade the baying hound.

 

Love ones die

Trying to not to let them see you cry.

 

Burning soul

Trying to claw a way out of the hole.

 

Dangling in the wind

Trying to lose control on the bend.

 

Walking in the rain

Trying to slip away from the pain.

 

Screaming inside

Trying to find a place to hide.

 

When you can't win, when you can't be what you want to be...

The rhyme scheme in this poem works but is very simple I suggest trying to add a third line to your stanza's or maybe make them 4 liners and have a double rhyme.

Also take the second "to" out of the third stanza, It will help it read easier and smoother.
