The Judge

The Judge

A Poem by Carlton Rolle

Silence to the floor.

....

Opposite of most things that should be felt.

Many tongues are unkept.

Quick to tell you how they feel.

Make you think you know the deal.

Prove you know what's up.

But I've had quite enough.

No more jabber.

No more fluff.

The Judge is becoming tough.

It's rough on the person's psyche,

When you disturb their pause.

Interchanging law becoming the flaw.

They say opposites attract.

The divergent never meet.

They just push it down real deep.

To hide their losses.

So floss all you want.

When locked away from the light.

This plight has ignited me to tell plenty.

...
