Virgin

Virgin

A Poem by Carlton Rolle

I can’t control the hidden virgin.

It lowers its head with fresh people.

Banishing those unwilling to accept.

The clean life.

Beyond stable.

Pasteurized.

Grand in its resources.

Vitamins not known to water.

It’s something much more filling.

Countless in its bonds.

Creating further mazes.

Of factions of secret power.

Yearning for hidden spite.

It’s a daring region to travel alone.

And yet alone is one.

The first of many.

There’s a virgin in everyone.

But not everyone accepts it.
