A very interesting poem. I like how the two parts 'wishing' and 'knowing' connect and mirror each another. A subtle poem that says a lot and makes you think. I like it when poets simplify their writing yet convey powerful ideas within a subtle dialogue. Good writing.

mm, wishing and knowing...personally i believe that we are the ones to save ourselves, and we shouldn't expect others to do that for us, but if they do, then it's a welcome blessing. we all need a helpful hand from time to time.
