Momentary illusions

Momentary illusions

A Poem by HeazerH

I'm no fool
Il play one though
And you'd never know
I'm thrashing around
In the doubts
In the shadows of
This mutual denial
You took all the air
Left in my feeble lungs
And we boast
Like we're teen thousand feet tall
Knowing
This great tower will fall
Maybe it's the lead up
Or the crash at the end
Who knows
What drives an insane soul
The infatuation
And the answer we'll never know
I'm hesitant now
But this issues never show
And while we question while they grow
You plant your roots in me
I can feel
The glory of this
Even in defeat I can't throw
My hands up this time
Awakened to the
Intricacies of my every
Weakness that has been planted
The seeds of worry
That nagging tugging feeling
Sometimes I just loose myself
Because it feels so good
Even in the shadows if our flaws
The ones that brought us
Both to our knees
And we rise apart
And in the solitude we find
We are nothing without this
We arrive at this turning point again
Make your move
I won't this time
It always comes full circle
Always to this fork
In our paths where we meet
In the chaos and
Fully feel
The weight of our defeat
Our hearts deceit
A feat of our imaginations
