Homosexual: Seeing A New Life

Homosexual: Seeing A New Life

A Chapter by Christina Ann Banana Hamok
"

Alec struggles between his feelings for Damien and Aiko.

"

Face down in the feather pillows, he groans as he hears the door to his room open again. "Hey, son" his father sat on the edge of the bed, Alec ignored him "I heard about what happened at the home coming dance." Alec shifted his weight away from his father "I know I haven't said nor expressed this before but what ever you choose I'll try my best to support you" Shutting the door softly behind him, Alec could hear his retreating footsteps down the hall. What the hell have I gotten my self in to? He thought to himself before drifting off into a dreamless slumber. The next morning everything seemed so bright and clear. For a few moments he thought that the night before was only a bad dream, that was until he checked his cell phone with over 20 messages from Damien. Ranging between hurt and confused to out right irate; sighing he shut off the phone. All he longed for was a weekend to figure things out. He didn't want to have to worry about anything until Monday. Rose walked into the room and opened the curtians wide smiling as he squinted at the sudden rays of morning sun. "Wakey, wakey sleepy head" plopping down on his head she looked at him excited "Tell me everything" Alec sighed he could tell that this was going to be a very long weekend.

The following Monday everyone was staring, whispering, pointing. It was driving him insane before he even reached his locker. Looking down the hall he could see Aiko's back turned to him listening to something that Autumn was talking about very animated. Down the other way he could see Elena holding a very upset Damien in her arms, before he was able to look way she caught his eye and looked at him for relief. Sighing he headed towards them. "Damien, may I speak with you alone" he asked softly staring at the floor, Damien looked at him shocked then anger settled in and he began to glare. "Fine" he said roughly they walked out to the parking lot and walked aimlessly through the parked cars. "Look, I know your probably hurt and confused. I'm very confused too and I think we should atleast just try to be friends until I figure everything out" Daimen continued to glare at the ground as they walked "I'm just asking you to try. I'll understand if you won't want to talk to me anymore" Damien let out a sigh and walked towards the school as the first bell rang. Alec watched  Damien's retreated figure; he jumped as Aiko started talking to him "I'm sorry" she said in a monotone, the wind blew her hair into her face so he could not tell if she was crying or not. Her voice betrayed her, " I always seem to screw everything up" he softly took her into his arms.

"You didn't screw everything up, Aiko if anything you helped me realize something" The warning bell rang and he slowly guided her towards the school. Autumn was waiting for her at the doors, her face was drained from it's usual excitement. Aiko detached her self from his side and the two of them walked off to Mrs. Gilberts spanish class.
