Prep : Copper Beneath The Gold

Beginning on the insight to Elena's personality.

         Next Friday will be the homecoming dance and she still didn't have a dress, Elena thought in distress. She smiled at her peers as 'hi's' and 'hello's' came from all directions, she looked up at Caleb. The star quarter back and Miss. Glamourous. They ruled through out the school as if it were their own personal kingdom. When they reached the Junior hallway, Elena pulled Caleb towards a crowd that had gathered in a circle in curiosity. When the arrived Chasity was in the middle of her drama-tized encounter with Aiko, gasping Elena looked over the cuts across one side of her face.

"What happened?" she asked her, as soon as she spoke the crowd went silent immediatly and Chasity looked at her as if she were about to cry.

"That little wench Aiko hit me yesterday for no reason" Elena studied Chasity's face as she said this. "Chasity, I'm sure she had a perfectly good explaination to do such a thing"

"I doubt it" said some one she didn't catch who

"Yeah, she comes from a violent backround who knows why she does anything she does" said another. Elena pondered about this, everyone had heard about Aiko's adotpive parents 'problems' as some would say. But she still didn't believe Chasity, she did always seem to exaggerate about the things that happen to her. Down the other end of the hall there was the sound of metal clinking against each other. Whispers shot up around her as Aiko walked to her locker, looking up from her locker she made direct eye contact with Elena before turning her eyes to every one else. Who at that point broke apart in twos or threes in opposite directions of her. Caleb placed his hand on the small of her back and whispered something in her ear that made a smile creep across her face, before joining the rest of the jocks down the hall. She watched him walk away, as Bonnie and Katheriene appeared at either side of her.

"He is so gorgeous" Bonnie drooled as she watched him walk away;

 "Mmm, mmm, Good" Katheriene agreed.

 "Its such a shame that you keep him all to your self" Bonnie told Elena with a goofy grin. Smiling

"Bonnie, I'm not bisexual and I probably never will be" she told her as she opened up her locker.

"Your missing out" she told her still grinning "See you at lunch" she said over her shoulder as her and Kathereine walked away towards their class room. Shaking her head she opened her locker, and just in time she felt Alecs presence.

"Hey" she said looking up at him, she had to admit he was pretty handsome and not only because he was gay. He was tall, lean, and muscular; with wavy dark brown hair that sometimes fell over those gorgeous dark green eyes that seemed to memorize you.

"I don't think I'm allowed to talk to you yet" he told her mockingly, shocked she reached out a small hand to touch his arm

 

"Caleb doesn't decide who my friends are" she told him reassuringly

"Seems like he does to me" he said closing his locker and heading for Miss. Gilberts class.
