Through the Rain: Sounds of A Broken Heart Beat.A Story by Christina Ann Banana HamokShort story written on May 21, 2008.A pillow laid on the bed, sodden with endless tears. The sillhouette of a small girl was outlined by the glow of the full moon. Tears silently rolled down her face, with her knees tucked under her chin. Staring blankly out the window into the cold night a smile creeped painfully across her face, and more sobs wracked her chest; dropping her head into the crook of her arm she soaked the sleeve of the shirt that she was wearing. The other side of the matress creaked as someone leaned on the springs, his large arms encircled her. Within seconds he had her cradled against his chest, taking two handfuls of this shirt she burried her head into his chest and began to cry perfusivly. Kissing the top of her head he whispered into her hair that he would make everything alright, and she believed him. © 2008 Christina Ann Banana HamokAuthor's Note
