Through The Rain

Through The Rain

A Story by Christina Ann Banana Hamok
"

Short story that I put together on September 22, 2007.

"

Stepping out into the cold pre autumn air, the breeze gently caressing her face. The young girl stepped off the last step on her porch. The second her feet touched the rich soil, she began to bound across the yard. Dodging, the few buildings in her way. Her lungs burned for a rest and time to take in deep breaths of fresh air, still she ran. 'Til she met the water's edge where collapsing to her knees, arms wrapped around herself. At a pitiful attempt to keep the black hole that was burning its self through her entire being. A single tear rolled down her cheek, as she looked to the sky and felt the warmness of the sun.

Ignore spelling errors and/or grammar errors. I don't pay much attention to that unless it's for school or something.
