Love Grows

Love Grows

A Poem by Sophie
"

about not taking love for granted

"
Love Grows
Love grows where it is cherished
It withers and dies if it’s left to chance
Take a heart and love it always
Take a chance on love’s sweet wine
Its heady taste, its aromatic bouquet
Loves dizzying effects, the heart that beats faster
The racing pulse at the sight of your lover
The way the day becomes instantly brighter
How it dulls when they’re not around
The instant smile, the quickening pulse
The heavier breathing, the look of lust
The touch of a hand, the look of love
The laugh at a joke, the deepening kiss
All these things I offer to you
Come cherish my love, let it not wither
These are the things I offer to you
All I ask is love me in return
