Solstice Night

Solstice Night

A Poem by Adam M. Snow

Once upon a solstice night, As she broad a distance sight. Leaving behind her spoken voice As she waits the world by choice.

Solstice Night
By: Adam M. Snow

Once upon a solstice night,
As she broad a distance sight.
Leaving behind her spoken voice
As she waits the world by choice.
One scarlet night abroad the tower,
She lies to wait a night devour.
As truth be told she lies awake,
Dreaming of her knightly sake.
Burden be her heart dost sing,
"O to thee what morrow brings?"
She lies there by the window pane,
Silent forevermore and forever insane.

Caged and longing the poor maiden is. Yet through her tragedy we see the beauty.

This just reminds me of someone who's waiting and waiting for someone. But either can't have them or haven't found them. She's lonely to the point where it's painful, and she doesn't know exactly what to do. So she waits and waits for this lover, until she goes insane.

There is so much I can type about this but the words refuse to budge from my puny mind. So then here is a random comment. In the format this is in there is vivid picture in my head that completely grasps line after line.

Love this... sort of reminds me of a damsel in distress with the lady in the tower and the knight to her rescue, or a smile Romeo and Juliet. Very nice write.
