As Her Notes Glisten the Wind
By: Adam M. Snow

Never again, will I wake my siren within
And let her sing a requiem tune.
Erasing the words until it is sung
As my life be dead by spoken croon.
Never again, her notes glisten the wind
But softly it reigns burden be my heart.
Her voice chill the air upon me
And by that dost my soul depart.
Quaintly I long for a foolish song
From the writer who sung mute.
The words like a pendulum above my chest
Hanging perfectly acute.
Never again, I bow my head to shame
My siren's voice dost be angels lips.
I am captivated by such hellish song
That left my world in eclipse.

So enhanced in its dream like quality and it's fluid movement. Along with the older English it gives it a slight medevil gothic theme. I admire so much from this piece.

Reminds me a bit of Poe, yet this is unique in its own way... very nice.

I read this personally and think of certain sirens inside me that do cry and wail me on and on and onto the rocks from time to time. I like it very much when I read a poem that triggers such feelings in me. I think such an outcome proves the words are effective, mean something to the reader.

Strong words allow the reader to fall into the words. Our muses can make us write of beauty or hell. Of passion or loneliness.

In my madness. I wrote poetry. The muses effect always seem to hold on till we can find another. A strong ending to a outstanding poem.
