A Dreaming Bird in Caged

By: Adam M. Snow

My eyes be blind to thee,

My heart cold like a December morn.

Could condescension be,

A merit of a scorn?

My ethereal pain scourge my heart,

Thoughts of you lost in pass

You beckon my soul from the start,

I might obey, but not surpass.

If I may live not a bird in caged,

Who sings to please but dreams to be free.

My every moments aged,

And I still blind to see,

I'm not myself,

Just a bird on your shelf.

Awe so sad made me wish to open the cage and let you free. Well done with your words of choosing that descriptions they made as I love the thought you made as "Who sings to please but dreams to free and And I still blind to see I'm not myself Just a bird on your shelf." You wrote this in such a wonderful way as yourself is the bird wishing to be free. Excellent job on such a strong short poetry and keep up the good work.

This is so sad. I wanted to open that cage and set you free. You did an excellent job and with it being so short it made it even more impressive. Wonderful write.

Adam M. Snow,

Tisk,Tisk, Tisk...

A classical tale of boy sees girl, boy loves girl and girl keeps him like a puppet on a string.

Your poem here is wonderful, clean, and flawless; it engages the reader with its energetic flow. As short as this poem was, it packs a powerful blow - nice job.

I admire your writing style, as it is not easy nowadays to use words of old in poetry of new.

In short, a must read for those dreaming in the cage.

I was pondering on your poem - have you placed a poem in any of Poetic Infusion Society's contests? If not, this would very well be a great for the Love contest.

Thank you for sharing,

Legacy
